This week’s NHTSA Recall updates hit our desk yesterday. Here’s a quick recap, along with some next steps for RV owners.
Jayco Recalls
The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) and Tire Loading Information labels on certain 2025-2026 Entegra Coach Ethos recreational trailers state an incorrect number of seat belt-equipped seating positions, which can result in unbelted passengers. The motorhomes are manufactured with 4 seat belt positions, but the labels state there are 6.
As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”
Jayco will mail corrected labels to owners at no additional charge. Notification letters were mailed by April 22nd, 2026.

Winnebago Recalls
The side marker reflex reflectors on certain 2027 Suncruiser and 2026-2027 Sunflyer motorhomes may not have been installed. The absence of these reflectors reduces other road users’ ability to see the vehicle in low-light and nighttime conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
Dealers will install reflectors at no additional charge. Notification letters were mailed by April 24th, 2026.
Learn more under recall #204.
Forest River Recalls
The fender on certain 2026 East to West College Avenue and 2026-2027 Entrada recreational vehicles may contact the rear tire under loading and/or jounce. A tire that contacts the vehicle’s body may fail, potentially leading to a loss of vehicle control and a crash.
The remedy is still under development and notification letters should be mailed by May 30th, 2026.
Learn more under recall #504-2048.
Ford Recalls
The front axle hub assembly on certain 2025-2026 F-53 and F-59 vehicles may be missing the spindle nut and cotter pin. If the vehicle is driven without a front axle hub spindle nut, degradation in the brake system’s integrity may result in rotor fracture, damage to the brake caliper bracket, or loss of the front wheel. Damage to the brake system or wheel detachment increases the risk of a crash.
Affected vehicles were built between June 27, 2025, and December 18, 2025. Dealers will inspect and replace the front axle spindle nut and cotter pin as necessary at no additional charge. Interim notification letters should be mailed by April 27th, 2026, and additional letters should be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in July 2026.
VINs associated with this recall became searchable via the NHTSA recall tool on April 16th, 2026.

Trails West Recalls
The cooktop flame on certain 2027 RPM Freeride recreational trailers may become inverted when the furnace is operating. This renders the cooktop ineffective and may increase the risk of fire.
Dealers will install an aluminum separation between the furnace and the cooktop at no additional charge. Notification letters were expected to be mailed in April 2026, and VINs associated with this recall became searchable via the NHTSA tool on April 22nd, 2026.
